Cofresco
Founded in 1996, Cofresco Frischhalteprodukte GmbH & Co. KG is a joint venture between the German Melitta Group (
www.melitta.info) and the US company S.C. Johnson (
www.scjohnson.com). As the majority shareholder with a stake of 65 percent, Melitta controls the company’s business operations. The company specializes in the production of household products for the freezing, fresh-keeping, storage and disposal of food.
Cofresco’s registered office is in Minden (Germany). The company also operates a manufacturing facility in Brodnica (Poland). Its products are marketed throughout Europe.
With a wide range of films, boxes and papers, Cofresco offers solutions for a variety of household needs. As the everyday needs and wishes of consumers are constantly changing, however, Cofresco is continually working on the development of new products. Examples include the all-round Zipper® bags, the coated Fix-Grill Pans and the BOXN® range. Against this backdrop, research is essential for Cofresco –both inside and outside the company. The Cofresco Forum aims to promote such research.
